Persistent negotiator with 95% success rate in obtaining
substantial settlements and plea bargains for clients without compromising
the individual’s rights. Hard working, dynamic communicator, with seventeen
years of professional experience picking juries, addressing judges and
questioning witnesses.
Successfully handle hundreds of misdemeanor and felony
cases with an 85% success rate at trial.
Litigated three month, high profile, complex, multi-defendant felony case
which resulted in a hung jury for my client and eventual plea bargain down
to misdemeanor charge with no jail sentence.

Public Policy
Aggressively lobbied state legislators concerning changes in the
sentencing law for battered women which resulted in clemency for victims of
domestic violence.
Arranged meetings with various city councilmen, to lobby for changes in
the composition of the civilian complaint review board which helped shape
the legislation that was eventually enacted.

Organizer/Facilitator
Acted as court evaluator in guardianship proceeding in order to expedite
the appointment of a guardian ad litem on behalf of incapacitated persons.
Interviewed alleged incapacitated persons and wrote in-depth reports on
observations and findings about the appropriate services to be provided the
subjects of guardianship proceeding. Presented findings to the Judge and
mental health personnel involved in the guardianship proceeding.
Organized two days of public hearings on state and federal drug policy as
a member of The Drug Policy Task Force, a blue ribbon panel of judges and
lawyers.

Communications/Public Relations
Published critical article on jury service in New York Law Journal,
December,1999.
Published drug policy reform recommendations based on the
Drug Policy Task Force hearings. Published recommendations were used in
lobbying efforts to reform harsh sentencing guidelines.
